CUSTOM BOXY T-SHIRTS Pattern-Cut for a True Squared Fit
Star Faith International manufactures boxy t-shirts for streetwear and contemporary fashion labels that want a squared, structured silhouette rather than a fitted contour cut. Our pattern room grades every block in-house in Sialkot, Punjab, so the drop shoulder, body width and hem shape stay consistent across every size and every reorder. Minimum order: 50 pieces per style, per colourway.
Why a Real Boxy Fit Is a Pattern Decision, Not a Sizing Trick
A true boxy fit depends on the pattern, not just loose sizing. Plenty of suppliers produce a “boxy” tee by simply grading a regular fit up a size or two, which gives extra room but none of the structure. We cut a wider body block with a dropped shoulder seam that sits below the natural shoulder line, paired with a straight, un-tapered side seam, so the garment holds its shape on the hanger and on the body instead of collapsing into a plain oversized tee.
Drop Shoulder Placement
How far the shoulder seam drops below the natural shoulder line defines how structured or relaxed the silhouette reads. We grade this against your reference image or spec sheet rather than applying a single standard drop across every order, since a streetwear-leaning drop and a contemporary-fashion drop are genuinely different patterns.
Body Width to Length Ratio
A boxy silhouette depends on the relationship between body width and garment length as much as the shoulder itself. Too short and the garment reads as a cropped box rather than an oversized one; too long and it loses the squared proportion. We support custom size charts for label programmes that want a specific body-width-to-length ratio held consistently across the full size range.

How We Build a Boxy T-Shirt
1. Pattern and Spec Sheet Confirmation
Drop shoulder placement, body width, length and hem finish are confirmed on a spec sheet before cutting starts. For custom size charts, we work from your reference measurements rather than scaling a standard block.
2. Sample Approval
One sample is produced against the confirmed pattern for your sign-off, so proportions are approved on a physical garment before bulk cutting begins.
3. Cutting and Sewing
Garments are cut and sewn on our own floor using the approved pattern, with the same shoulder drop and side seam held consistently across every size in the run.
4. Three-Stage Quality Check
Fabric is inspected before cutting, seam placement and proportions are checked in-line, and every garment is checked again before packing to confirm it matches the approved sample across sizes.
5. Shipping
Orders ship within 12 to 18 working days to any of the 35 or more countries we export to, on DDP terms so import duty and VAT are settled before your shipment arrives, or on FOB terms if you’d rather clear customs through your own forwarder.
Adding Decoration, Washing and Branding
Popular add-ons on a boxy silhouette include DTG or screen-printed graphics, embroidered chest logos, twill side-seam labels, and rib-knit or raw-hem finishing. The wide body block on a boxy tee gives large-scale prints and back graphics more usable space than a fitted cut does.
Garment washing is also available for a worn-in, vintage look, using the same acid wash and garment dye process we run on our hooded styles. Wash is completed before decoration so the finish doesn’t affect printed or embroidered graphics.
Private label packaging with woven neck tags and polybags can be added through our private label service without changing the standard minimum order, and custom labels and tags can be specified separately if you only need branded trims.
Frequently Asked Questions
What makes a t-shirt genuinely boxy rather than just oversized?
The pattern, not the size. A true boxy fit uses a dropped shoulder seam that sits below the natural shoulder line and a straight, un-tapered side seam, cut as its own block. Simply sizing up a regular-fit pattern gives extra room but not the structured, squared silhouette a boxy tee is meant to have.
Can I specify my own body width to length ratio?
Yes. We support custom size charts for label programmes that want a specific proportion held consistently across the size range, built from your reference measurements rather than scaled from a standard block.
What is the minimum order for custom boxy t-shirts?
50 pieces per style, per colourway, roughly a quarter of the 200 or more piece minimum most trading agencies quote UK brands.
What fabric weight works best for a boxy silhouette?
We cut boxy tees from 220 to 280 GSM heavyweight cotton or cotton-poly blends. A heavier weight holds the squared shape and drop shoulder structure better than a lightweight fabric, which tends to drape rather than hold its line.
How long does production take for boxy t-shirts?
12 to 18 working days after sample approval. Pattern and spec sheet confirmation happen before that window begins.
Can I get a boxy t-shirt with a vintage or washed finish?
Yes, using the same acid wash and garment dye process available on our hooded styles. The wash is completed before any decoration is applied.
Can you add graphics or embroidery to a boxy t-shirt?
Yes. DTG, screen printing, embroidery and twill side-seam labels are all available, with the wide body block giving large-scale graphics more usable space than a fitted cut.
Do you ship boxy t-shirts to the UK, and who handles customs?
Yes, the UK is one of our main export markets. We ship on DDP terms on request, meaning import duty and VAT are settled before your shipment arrives. FOB is available if you’d rather clear customs through your own freight forwarder.
Can I add my own brand labels to boxy t-shirts?
Yes. Woven neck tags and polybags can be added through our private label service without changing the standard minimum order.
What’s the difference between regular and extended drop-shoulder fits?
A regular drop-shoulder sits just below the natural shoulder line for a structured but wearable silhouette. An extended drop-shoulder sits further down the arm for a more exaggerated, oversized streetwear look. Both are graded as proper patterns rather than scaled sizing.
