CUSTOM SINGLETS Cut for Movement and Built for Club Orders
Star Faith International manufactures athletic-cut singlets for running and athletics clubs, gyms, fitness brands and teamwear programmes that need a lightweight, high-movement garment. Cutting, sewing and decoration all happen on our own floor in Sialkot, Punjab, so armhole shape, seam finish and printed graphics stay consistent across every size in the run. Minimum order: 50 pieces per style, per colourway.
What Makes a Singlet Different From a Tank Top
A singlet is built for performance rather than style. It uses a wider armhole, a lighter fabric and a cut designed to keep the shoulders and arms completely free during running, lifting or competition. A fashion-led tank top is usually heavier, more fitted and designed around a streetwear or lifestyle look, while a singlet is designed around how the athlete moves.
That difference shapes every decision in the pattern: how deep the armhole sits, how the seams are placed so they do not rub, and how the fabric handles sweat and airflow. If your range is aimed at clubs and athletes, it is the performance cut you want. If you are also building a team kit around it, our soccer uniforms and jerseys use the same lightweight fabrics and in-house decoration.
Armhole and Strap Design
A wide armhole gives the shoulder full range of motion, but if it is cut too low it exposes the side of the chest and rubs under the arm. We grade armhole depth and strap width per size so the opening stays comfortable and consistent from XS through 4XL, rather than scaling a single pattern up and down.
Seam Placement and Finishing
On a garment worn against bare skin during exercise, seam placement matters. We use flat, low-profile seams positioned away from high-friction areas, and finish armholes and necklines with a bound or rolled edge so they sit flat and do not chafe.
Why Brands Choose Our Acid Wash Hoodies
- Base fabric: 100 to 160 GSM lightweight polyester, mesh or interlock, moisture-wicking finish
- Fits available: Athletic, relaxed, racerback (custom blocks on request)
- Armhole finish: Bound edge or rolled hem
- Seams: Flat, low-profile, positioned away from friction areas
- Neckline: Crew or scoop, bound or rib-knit
- Size range: XS to 4XL, custom grading available
- Minimum order: 50 pieces per style, per colourway
- Lead time: 12 to 18 working days after sample approval
Mesh gives the most airflow and suits running and hot-weather training, while interlock has a smoother face and holds a printed graphic more cleanly. We will recommend a fabric against the sport and the decoration you have planned.
How We Build a Singlet
1. Spec Sheet Confirmation
Fit, armhole depth, strap width, fabric and neckline are confirmed on a spec sheet before cutting starts, since armhole changes are difficult once the pattern is cut.
2. Sample Approval
One sample is produced against the confirmed spec for your sign-off, so fit, armhole shape and fabric feel are approved on a physical garment before bulk cutting begins.
3. Cutting and Sewing
Garments are cut and sewn on our own floor, with seams and armhole edges finished using the settings confirmed at sampling stage so comfort and shape hold across the run.
4. Three-Stage Quality Check
Fabric is inspected before cutting, seam construction and armhole finishing are checked in-line, and every garment is checked again before packing, including a check that seams lie flat and armholes have not been stretched during sewing.
5. Shipping
Orders ship within 12 to 18 working days to any of the 35 or more countries we export to, on DDP terms so import duty and VAT are settled before your shipment arrives, or on FOB terms if you would rather clear customs through your own forwarder.
Branding Your Singlets
Most singlets are decorated for clubs, events or teams, and the method you choose depends on the fabric. Sublimation printing dyes the graphic into polyester fibre, so it will not crack, peel or restrict stretch, which makes it the standard choice for performance singlets, and all over printing extends that to full-panel designs.
For clubs that need names and numbers, team personalization covers individual lettering and numbering, and tackle twill adds stitched numbers for a more durable, traditional finish. DTF printing is also available for detailed artwork across different fabric types. All of these run in-house, so decoration does not add a second vendor or an extra shipping leg to your timeline.
Private Label and Retail-Ready Finishing
If you are building your own fitness range rather than ordering club kit, our private label service covers woven neck labels and hang tags and custom packaging, all added before dispatch without changing the standard minimum order, so garments arrive ready to sell.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between a singlet and a tank top?
A singlet is a performance garment with a wider armhole, lighter fabric and a cut built for movement. A tank top is usually heavier and more fitted, designed around a streetwear or lifestyle look. Both are sleeveless, but they are patterned and finished differently.
What fabric is best for a running or athletics singlet?
Lightweight polyester with a moisture-wicking finish. Mesh gives the most airflow for running and hot weather, while interlock has a smoother face and holds a printed graphic more cleanly.
What is the minimum order for custom singlets?
50 pieces per style, per colourway, roughly a quarter of the 200 or more piece minimum most trading agencies quote UK brands.
Why do some singlets chafe under the arm?
Usually because the armhole is cut too low for the size or the seams sit in a high-friction area. We grade armhole depth per size and use flat, low-profile seams placed away from friction points.
Will a printed graphic crack or restrict stretch on a singlet?
Not with sublimation. The ink is dyed into the polyester fibre rather than sitting on top, so it will not crack, peel or stiffen the fabric, which is why it is the standard method for performance singlets.
Can you add names and numbers for a club order?
Yes. Individual names and numbers can be added through our team personalization service, applied in-house alongside garment production.
How long does production take for singlets?
12 to 18 working days after sample approval. Spec sheet confirmation and sample sign-off happen before that window begins.
Can I get an all over printed singlet?
Yes. Sublimation and all over printing cover full-panel graphics on polyester, and artwork is set up to the pattern so it lines up across the seams.
Do you ship singlets to the UK, and who handles customs?
Yes, the UK is one of our main export markets. We ship on DDP terms on request, meaning import duty and VAT are settled before your shipment arrives. FOB is available if you would rather clear customs through your own freight forwarder.
Can I add my own brand labels to singlets?
Yes. Woven neck labels, hang tags and retail-ready packaging can be added through our private label service before dispatch, so garments arrive ready to sell.
